LBPSB Guidance Services
About us
The LBP Guidance professionals provide counselling services, as well as academic and vocational guidance, to the students in our schools and centres. The Guidance professionals have master's degrees, and many are full members of the Ordre des Conseillers et Conseillères d’Orientation du Québec (OCCOQ).
We work as part of multi-disciplinary school teams to help facilitate the academic success and social development of our students. Guidance Team members in schools or centres often provide liaison with community based partners from the health and social service sectors.
The Guidance professionals are assigned to a specific school and are available for consultation by students, staff, and parents on a daily basis. They strive to create a safe and caring environment where students can receive timely intervention in a period of crisis as well as ongoing support and guidance throughout their time in the school or center.

Post-Secondary Applications
All SRAM college round 1 decisions will be posted in student application portals as of April 4th. Please note that refusals are posted on the application portals only. Dawson and Champlain Colleges will be sending out/posting their first choice decisions by the end of March. All other CEGEPs follow their own schedule.
If you receive an acceptance from your second choice college before hearing back from your first choice college, please accept it by the deadline provided. You can always go back to reject the offer should you receive an acceptance from your first choice college. If you are refused in round 1/first choice, it is strongly recommended that you book an appointment with your guidance professional to explore your options for round 2/second choice. It is also a good idea to review which programs are still open in round 2 https://admission.sram.qc.ca/regulier/programmes-offerts/par-programme as well as to contact admissions for feedback as to why you were refused and for their recommendations.
For those interested in pursuing vocational training, more and more fall start dates should now be available for admission on www.admissionfp.com/ Students should be reviewing this link regularly, and be applying as soon as fall start dates are available. To reject an offer, students must contact admissions.
